Obituary:
BUXTON- Marilyn L. Greenacre, 82, passed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March-28-14 at home with her loving family at her side. Marilyn was born in Bowdoinham Maine. She was the Daughter of Minot Doble and Ada (Purington) Doble. Marilyn grew up in Portland, Maine graduating from Deering High School. She is predeceased by her first husband and the father of her 4 (four) children, Ralph Skillings II in 1961 and her son James Skillings in 1975.
She is survived by her husband James Greenacre with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. She is also survived by her daughter Cynthia Davis Santolucito and husband Dennis of Buxton, her daughter Susan Lally and partner Russ Levesque of Caribou, and her son Ralph Skillings III and his wife Maria from Standish. She is survived by 5 (five) grand children in Idaho, Connecticut and Maine, 6 (six) great grandchildren and 1 (great-great grandchild.
Marilyn was a dedicated member of the Hollis Center Baptist Church. She loved her time spent with the Bible Study Group and serving those in need while volunteering at the church’s Food Pantry. Even very recently she truly appreciated her new roll as the group’s “encourager”. Marilyn also enjoyed photographing sunsets.
Jim and Marilyn enjoyed many years of summers together on Tunk Lake in Cherryfield, Maine. They also enjoyed drives in the country.
Loved by so many for her kind heart, warm smile and “special” hugs will be dearly missed by so many.
Marilyn’s family would like to thank Hospice of Southern Maine for superb assistance and care at this most difficult time.
