Dear Aunt Erna, Paul, Elizabeth, Esther and families, we want to pass on our deepest condolences in the loss of Uncle Phil. During the past few days we have reminisced about the many happy times spent with Uncle Phil and Aunt Erna, especially the childhood visits we took as a family to their home in Maine. Also the beautiful meals and wonderful visits we had with them at Shortts Lake. Our dad, Douglas Slater, always looked forward to their visits and especially the sing songs!! Jeanette and Chuck enjoyed their visit last summer as well. We feel so blessed to have had a visit with your family at Erna and Phil's own home in Kennebunkport last June. They made us feel so welcome and we treasure the memories made. Uncle Phil was a wonderful and compassionate man whose wisdom and love of God has most certainly touched many lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during these difficult days and will continue to pray for comfort and strength in the days ahead. Please do not hesitate to

Dear Aunt Erna, Paul, Elizabeth, Esther and families, we want to pass on our sincere condolences to you all in the loss of Uncle Phil. We have reminisced over the past few days about the many happy times spent with Uncle Phil and Aunt Erna. We especially remember our childhood family visits to their home in Maine and the many happy times we had there. We also enjoyed their annual visits to Shortts Lake and the great conversations and wonderful meals enjoyed with them. Our dad, Doug, looked so forward to these visits, especially the sing songs. Jeanette and Chuck certainly enjoyed their visit at the cottage last summer. We girls, (Shirley, Barb and Jeanette) feel so blessed to have had a visit with them at their own home this past June, and they made us feel so welcome. Uncle Phil's wisdom and love of God has most certainly touched many lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and will pray for continuing comfort and strength in the days to come.
