Friends and family may call Saturday September 20, 2014 from 10AM to 11AM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral and Cremation Services, 365 Main Street, Saco Maine. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 11:00AM. Dr. Burton Howe will officiate. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Patricia Ann Roberge Huot, 81, formerly of Saco Avenue in Old Orchard Beach passed away September 15, 2014 at the Pine Point Nursing Home in Scarborough with her loving family and best friend by her side. She was born in Biddeford, ME on March 18, 1933 the daughter of Leopold and Hilda Brand Roberge. Pat attended local schools and graduated from Thornton Academy in 1951. After graduation she was employed by Bernstein PA, attorney in Portland Maine.
She lived throughout New England including Michigan and Conn., eventually settling in Maine where she raised her family.
In the early 1960ís, she was employed at the Wonderbar Steak House in Biddeford where she met and later married the love of her life, her dear husband, Lucien Huot.
This began a new era for her allowing her to pursue her many interests and concentrate on caring for her dear grandchildren during their formative years, volunteering at Pine Point Nursing Home calling Bingo twice a week for the residents, who she loved dearly and became her extended family.
Pat and her husband entertained the residents at their home for a BBQ every summer.
In the early 60ís, Pat and her husband purchased the Elmwood Motor Court which was in the Huot family for many years where she enjoyed meeting new people. After selling the motel they enjoyed spending winters in Florida with family and friends
Pat enjoyed bowling, knitting, crossword puzzles, crafts of all kinds, watching "Days of our Lives", "NCIS" and most of all, the Boston Red Sox!
She was predeceased by her mother and her husband Lucien E. Huot.
She is survived by a son Mark Gordon and his wife Kristen of Scarborough, a step son David Huot and his wife Eliza of York, a daughter Sandra Lamb and her companion Jim McCarthy of Lyman, grandchildren Noah Lamb and his wife Amy, Kira Gordon and Audra Gordon and a step granddaughter Gracie Huot, 2 great grandchildren Izabella and Jaxson.
