Mary Alice Neat - age: 75
(August 30, 1939 to October 13, 2014
A private service will be held in Maine. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting
donations be made to The Autism Society of Maine.
Mary Alice Neat, 75 of Saco died unexpectedly in her home on October 13.
She was born to the late Alice and Harvey Cravaack on August 30,1939 in Cincinnati,
OH. She was predeceased by her brother Harvey Cravaack Jr.
Mary was wed to Willam Neat in 1967. Together they raised their 2 children in Vermont.
Mary was very involved in the community in Brandon, VT and worked for Brown’s
Pharmacy for over a decade. She later worked for Porter Hospital in Middlebury.
Once her children were married, Mary relocated to Saco, Maine where she worked as a
Pharmacy Technician at Maine Medical Center. She had many friends there and was
famous for sharing an abundance of her delicious baked goodies.
Mary was a Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to the beach. She liked to crochet
and was an avid reader. She volunteered at her local library in Saco. She enjoyed
travelling to Seattle to visit with her daughter and Son-in-law. She was proud of her
Son’s recent promotion in the Portland Fire Dept. She took great pride in the
accomplishments of her children. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her
Mary is survived by her two children and their spouses; Jennifer and Mike Sevigny, of
Mt. Vernon, WA and Shawn and Tricia Neat, of South Portland, ME. She is also
survived by her two grandchildren Kaylee and Eric Neat of South Portland, ME.
