Friends and family may call on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11-12 at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton. A 12:00 service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Flowers are welcomed or memorial donations may be made in Lois' name to the Hollis Fire & Rescue, 34 Town Farm Road, Hollis, ME 04042.
Obituary:
Lois Tankard Froding, 65, of Bear Hill Road, Hollis passed away at her home on Thursday evening, October 29, 2014. Lois was born in Berlin, NH on November 22, 1948, the daughter of the late Harold Orton and Olga Halvorson Tankard, Sr.
Lois grew up in Berlin, NH and graduated in 1968 from Berlin High School. She married Alan Froding and moved to Maine to be a mother and homemaker caring for her daughters. She was a member of TOPS and a Knitting Club. Lois especially enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren
Lois was predeceased by two sisters Pauline Hodgeman and Carrie Bonney.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alan Froding; her daughters Bonnie Wintle of Hollis and Judy Rose of Buxton; her brothers Clifford Tankard of Milan, NH and Harold Tankard of Manchester, NH; a sister Jean Plummer of Berlin, NH; her grandchildren Connor Rose of Scarborough, Matthew Wintle of Hollis, Ashlyn Wintle of Hollis and Sawyer Rose of Buxton; and 6 nieces and 7 nephews.
