Obituary:
Mary Marion Patrick, 69 passed away on January 7, 2015 at Saint Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor. She was born on November 1, 1945 in Augusta, the daughter of Stephen and Harriet Pease Patrick.
Mary grew up on Glenhaven Circle in Saco and graduated from Thornton Academy. She later earned her Master’s in Education and worked many years as a teacher and an administrator on the mid-coast of Maine.
She was predeceased by her parents.

Miss Patrick (even I always thought of her as Miss Patrick), was a strong influence in the lives of my children who had her as a teacher during their high school years. She was a strict teacher, but always, always fair. Our youngest daughter became a teacher, partly because of having Miss Patrick as her teacher. Miss Patrick made our daughter dig deep and use the gift she had been given and not just slide by getting good grades with little effort. Miss Patrick encouraged lthe love of life-long learning in her students and she will never be forgotten by them!
