Obituary:
Hollis - Ann Ponzetti left this world while holding hands with Richard, her devoted
husband of seventy-five years. Ann brought smiles and joy to her family and
friends throughout her very full life. She was a strong proponent of education,
reentering the workforce after her own children were grown, assisting grade
schoolers who were learning to read. After moving from Monroe, Connecticut to
Limerick, Maine, Ann went back to school, earning her real estate broker’s
license. She found her true calling in the York County Registry of Deeds. Ann
was elected to the office of Register of Deeds, and served in that office until her
retirement.
Known for her warm and gracious hospitality, Ann thrived on feeding family
and friends, hosting numerous parties and celebrations, notably on New Year’s
Eve and St. Patrick’s Day. She had many close friends and never stopped
making new ones. Ann was predeceased by her brothers Pellegrino Carpinelli
Jr. and Anthony Carpinelli and her sister Angelina SaNogueria. She is survived
by her husband Richard and sisters Leatrice Fisher and Phyllis Torres as well
as her four children and their spouses, seven grandchildren, and twelve
great-grandchildren.
